  • Primary liaison with the external audit team; assist with the audit process, including gathering supporting evidence and implementing management letter recommendations to improve financial processes and controls.
  • Manage cashflow forecasting and cash management, including setting up new banking relationships and reviewing payment arrangements.
  • Set up and establish the India subsidiary in collaboration with the CFO, including legal entity creation and reporting procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with FRS102 and tax regulations; review reconciliations performed by the Management Accounting team.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly consolidated financial statements (when required).
  • Liaise with possible investors and stakeholders to provide regular financial information as required.
  • Oversee segregation of duties within the finance team, ensuring robust controls over transaction processing and payment approvals.
  • Support the specification and implementation of a new finance software (ERP solution), contributing to automation and integration of financial operations.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies on IR35, remote working, staff expenses, entertaining, and VAT.

To Thrive In This Role You’ll:

  • Be a qualified accountant (ICAEW, ACCA, or equivalent), with a strong technical background and audit experience.
  • Experience in preparing statutory accounts and supporting audit processes.
  • Strong understanding of UK accounting standards (FRS102) and tax compliance.
  • Experience with financial systems implementations and process automation.
  • Report and forecast cashflows, and support the CFO in cashflow management and banking relationships.

Skills & Attributes:

  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills for liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a growing finance team.
  • Proactive approach to improving processes and controls.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, scaling environment.
  • Comfortable with MS365 and cloud-based software solutions.
  • Provide guidance and oversight to finance team members, ensuring segregation of duties and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

What You Can Expect From Us:

  • Competitive salary of £50,000 - £65,000
  • Hybrid work arrangement, with most days remote in the UK and regular attendance at Canary Wharf office meetings.
  • 33 days holiday (including UK public holidays)
