Join Us at The Centre for ADHD Research and Excellence: Shaping the Future of Accessible Healthcare
At CARE ADHD, we are revolutionising private healthcare by making ADHD assessments and treatment more affordable and accessible to those who need it. Our client-centred approach, combined with lean methodology and a focus on continuous improvement, drives our commitment to excellence. We embrace an innovative mindset, encouraging rapid learning and adaptation through our 'fail fast' ethos. With ambitious plans to become the largest ADHD service provider outside the NHS within the next five years, we are committed to pushing boundaries and fostering innovation.
Weâre focused on embedding product thinking and discipline to improve our service: one that scales safely, improves outcomes, and feels human at every step. Weâre early in our product maturity - which means weâre still building the operating model, clarifying interfaces, and learning fast. And thatâs exactly why weâre hiring a Clinical Product Manager now.
What we are looking for?
Weâre looking for a confident and creative Clinical Product Manager to grow our evolving Product Team. As Clinical Product Manager, youâll own the clinical integrity of our product work. Youâll translate clinical pathways, governance requirements and real-world service constraints into product decisions that are safe, measurable and implementable. Youâll work inside multidisciplinary squads alongside Product, Tech, Operational Excellence (OpEx), Marketing and Clinical leadership - shaping what we build and how it lands in BAU.
This role is for an early-stage builder with strong judgement. Youâll have the resilience to challenge âhow itâs always been doneâ when the system isnât serving clinicians or patients well - and the pragmatism to improve it without compromising safety. Youâll be able to break down complex problems when there isnât one clear right answer, and be evidence-led and intellectually honest about uncertainty, risk, and what the data (and clinical reality) is actually telling us.
Youâll bring real creativity to problem-solving, finding workable, scalable solutions in a constrained, high-trust environment - and be good at teasing ideas out of clinicians, ops teams and engineers, not just generating your own. Youâll communicate clearly and persuasively to different audiences, and challenge constructively while maintaining trust.
Youâll partner closely with our clinical leadership (Chief Medical Officer, Clinical Director, Medical Director) to embed digital clinical safety and clinical risk management into how we design and deliver change, aligned to NHS clinical risk management standards (DCB0129/DCB0160) where applicable.
If youâre humble, curious, and excited by building the clinical-product bridge from the ground up - youâll have real influence here.
Key Responsibilities
- Own clinically-grounded product thinking across our pathways
- Translate end-to-end care pathways into clear product requirements and outcomes.
- Identify variation, friction, and risk hotspots: turn them into prioritised opportunities.
- Define what âgoodâ looks like for clinical workflows in product (safety, quality, auditability, continuity).
- Lead discovery with clinicians and service teams
- Partner with our Product Manager, UX Researcher and Lead Designer to run evidence-led discovery (not opinion-led).
- Map workflows end-to-end and validate assumptions with qualitative and operational insight.
- Produce clear problem statements, acceptance criteria and decision-ready options.
- Build governance-by-design (safe change that isnât slow)
- Work with clinical governance leadership to clarify what changes require review and sign-off.
- Ensure clinical risk is surfaced early (before build), with lightweight documentation and decision trails.
- Support release readiness and Live Service Reviews with a clinical product lens.
- Partner with OpEx to make change stick in BAU
- Ensure product changes align with SOPs, training needs, and operational readiness.
- Help reduce workarounds and failure demand by designing for real service delivery.
- Support benefits tracking: what changed, what improved, and what we learned.
- Improve the accuracy and usefulness of patient-facing guidance and psychoeducation
- Partner with our Content Designer (Product) and Lead Designer to shape guidance that is clear, supportive and clinically responsible.
- Ensure safeguarding cues, escalation language and boundaries are appropriate and consistent.
For Role transparency you will not be expected to be:
- A âcompliance blockerâ â you enable clinical safety in products and services.
- The âclinician in the productâ - you partner with clinical leadership, you donât replace it.
- Just a requirements scribe - you shape decisions and outcomes.
To Thrive In This Role Youâll Need
- Clinical qualification (e.g., GMC or equivalent). You do not need to be in active clinical practice, but you do need to bring clinical judgement and credibility into cross-functional product work.
- Experience in mental health services and/or neurodevelopmental pathways (e.g., ADHD and related comorbidities), ideally across assessment, treatment, titration, and ongoing care.
- Familiarity with UK digital clinical safety expectations and clinical risk management practices, including working knowledge of NHS clinical risk management standards and the kinds of assurance artefacts they drive (e.g., safety case thinking, hazard tracking, decision trails).
- Experience designing and improving pathways that must withstand governance scrutiny (auditability, standard work, training implications, incident learning loops).
- Experience collaborating with clinical governance leadership (e.g., Chief Medical Officer/Clinical Director/Medical Director) to create pragmatic guardrails that enable safe change without becoming a bottleneck.
- Strong product craft: discovery, problem framing, prioritisation, delivery collaboration, and outcome-led roadmaps in complex environments.
- Proven ability to work shoulder-to-shoulder with clinicians and service teams, translating real workflows into product decisions and buildable requirements.
- Confidence operating in high-trust, safety-critical contexts: you naturally think in terms of risk, quality, assurance, and âdefinition of doneâ beyond shipping.
- Ability to communicate clearly and persuasively across different audiences (clinical, operational, technical, exec) and influence without formal authority.
SUCCESS MEASURES (12 months)
- Clinical governance integrated into product delivery without becoming a bottleneck.
- Measurable improvements to clinical workflow experience and pathway continuity.
- Reduced variation/workarounds and fewer avoidable risks introduced by change.
- Stronger clinical trust in the system and in product change.
