Locations of Work: Opportunities are available for driving routes in the Shipley and surrounding areas on a full or part-time basis.
Hours of Work: Shifts are on a rotating 2-week cycle. All applicants must be flexible to work alternate weekends or 1 day every weekend. Shift options include:
- Mornings & Lunch: 07.00 – 14.00
- Teas & Evenings: 16.00 – 22.00
- Full Days: 07.00 - 14.00 and 16.00 - 22.00
Your Role: As a Home Care Assistant, you will attend clients' homes to provide all aspects of care and support in a warm, professional, kind, and caring manner. Core tasks include:
- Providing personal and intimate care
- Supporting clients with medication
- Assisting with meal preparation
- Helping clients participate in daily activities
Duties include:
- Assisting clients with personal care (getting up, washed, dressed, etc.)
- Providing companionship and support for social activities
- Completing simple statistical information and maintaining records
- Complying with policies and legal requirements
- Building relationships of trust with clients and their families
Skills Required:
- Demonstrate a warm and friendly approach with empathy
- Good communication skills
- Ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues
