We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Management Accountant to join our finance team. Please note this is a hybrid role with 3 days expected in our Crawley office.

The Assistant Management Accountant will support the finance team in managing the company’s financial transactions, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with financial regulations. You will assist with tasks such as processing invoices, reconciling accounts, maintaining financial records, and supporting the preparation of financial reports.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and process employee expense claims and manage Expenses inbox.
  • Assist and cover for accounts payable and receivable functions.
  • Preparing and processing journals and financial transactions.
  • Supporting month-end and year-end financial reporting.
  • Assisting with VAT returns and tax filings.
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance.
  • Communicating with vendors, clients, and internal teams regarding financial matters.
  • Assisting in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
  • Performing general administrative and clerical duties as required.

You Will Need:

  • Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong numerical ability and attention to detail.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with financial processes, bookkeeping, and general ledger management.
  • Experience with QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar financial tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial reporting and data analysis.
  • Ensures accuracy in processing invoices, payments, and reconciliations.
  • Identifies and corrects errors in financial records.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and priorities efficiently.
  • Keeps financial records well-organized and accessible.
  • Clearly communicates with vendors, clients, and internal teams regarding payments and financial matters.
  • Works effectively with the finance team and other departments.
  • Identifies discrepancies and resolves financial issues proactively.
  • Suggests improvements in financial processes.
  • Handles sensitive financial data responsibly and ensures compliance with company policies.
  • Maintains confidentiality regarding financial transactions and records.
