We are currently recruiting for a Contracts Planner to support the delivery of responsive repairs across our social housing sector in Cornwall. The role focuses on efficient scheduling, contractor coordination, and ensuring residents receive a timely and high-quality repairs service.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, schedule, and allocate responsive repair works in line with contract requirements and performance KPIs.
  • Coordinate contractors and operatives, ensuring labour, materials, and access are arranged for timely completion of works.
  • Monitor job progress and compliance with SLAs, escalating delays or performance issues where necessary.
  • Communicate with residents to arrange appointments, provide updates, and manage queries with professionalism and empathy.
  • Maintain accurate records of work orders, schedules, contractor activity, and resident communications.
  • Support contract performance reporting through data monitoring, KPI tracking, and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Respond to emergency and priority repairs promptly, ensuring resources are deployed effectively and safely.
You will need
  • Experience in planning, scheduling, coordination, or contract administration, ideally within social housing, construction, or repairs and maintenance.
  • Strong understanding of responsive repairs processes, contractor management, and performance-driven service delivery.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage a high-volume workload and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Confident communicator with strong customer service skills and the ability to engage professionally and empathetically with residents.
  • Proficient in IT systems, including Microsoft Office and job management/scheduling software.
  • Ability to interpret and work with performance data, KPIs, and operational reports.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced, reactive environment.
