We are recruiting Multi-Skilled Operatives to work in the Cheltenham area. This role is ideal for someone with a broad range of skills with the ability to work on a variety of tasks across both internal and external areas. If you have a wide range of skills and enjoy working on different tasks around the property, this could be the perfect role for you, typically handling a range of repair and maintenance tasks to prepare empty (void) properties for new tenants.
Responsibilities:- Carrying out repairs and improvements to bring vacant properties to a lettable standard.
- Includes carpentry, plumbing, basic plastering, tiling, painting/decorating, and general maintenance.
- Handling various trade tasks efficiently without the need for multiple specialists.
- Minor electrical repairs (e.g., socket replacements, lighting fixtures).
- Completing job sheets, recording work carried out, materials used, and time taken.
- Plumbing, fixing leaks, replacing taps, fitting sinks, toilets, and baths.
- Replacing or installing wall and floor tiles.
- Proven experience in at least two or more trades (e.g., carpentry, plumbing, plastering).
- Experience working in voids, responsive repairs, or social housing environments.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
- Basic IT literacy for job logging systems.
- NVQ Level 2/3 in a core trade (Carpentry, Plumbing, etc.).
