We are poised for significant growth and are seeking a strategic and experienced professional to join our team as an Area Supervisor covering Gas and Renewables. This is a key role with exposure to leadership that will contribute to the overall success of the organisation.

Role Overview: The Area Supervisor will oversee operations across multiple sites, ensuring efficiency, safety, compliance, and profitability while supporting the transition to sustainable energy solutions. This role will be a mixture of office and field base, therefore the suitable candidate will receive the benefit of a flexible working environment. Our office is based in Keith.

Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

  • Reporting and assisting the Contracts Manager with the day-to-day running of the Gas and Renewable department.
  • Supervise daily operations within the assigned area, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular inspections of work areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations and operational efficiency.
  • Monitoring/organizing engineers' workloads alongside the planning department.
  • Providing technical assistance requested by engineers and the planning department.
  • Assisting with engineer training/toolbox talks.
  • Monitoring engineer absence and carrying out return to work interviews.
  • Approving engineers' holidays.
  • Liaising with customers and clients via phone and email.
  • Creating engineer work plans to assist planning department.
  • Approving Engineer Timesheets.
  • Collaborate with management to develop strategies for improving operational processes and team performance.

Qualifications: ACS Qualified.

  • Proven experience in a similar role would be preferable however we are open to training/upskilling candidates who we feel would be suitable.
  • Approachable.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and manage a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling clear interaction with team members and management.
  • Ability to lead by example, demonstrating commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and best practices related to operations management is advantageous.
