We are currently recruiting for a Supervisor to join our team located in the North West London area. We are seeking an experienced and driven Supervisor to oversee and coordinate the delivery of projects. You will be responsible for managing operatives and subcontractors, ensuring all works are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end delivery of property refurbishments, from initial inspection to completion and handâover.
- Coordinate inâhouse operatives and subcontractors, ensuring works are scheduled efficiently and meet agreed timelines.
- Conduct preâvoid and postâvoid inspections to scope works accurately and prepare schedules of work.
- Monitor progress on site, ensuring works are completed to specification, on time, and within budget.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and clientâspecific standards.
- Work closely with planners, surveyors, lettings teams, and the client to minimise turnaround times and void periods.
- Identify and order materials as required, minimising delays and controlling wastage.
- Maintain accurate records, including daily site reports, progress updates, and cost variations.
- Support the Contracts Manager with cost control, budget tracking, and commercial reporting.
- Carry out regular quality checks and snagging inspections before handâover.
- Complete toolbox talks, site inductions, and support a culture of safety and performance excellence.
- Liaise with tenants (where applicable), neighbours, and stakeholders in a professional manner to resolve issues and manage expectations.
Key Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in supervising property refurbishment contracts, preferably within social housing.
- Strong knowledge of building trades, void standards, and housing regulations.
- Experience in planning and delivering multiple projects concurrently under tight deadlines.
- Good understanding of health & safety regulations, including RAMS and compliance requirements (e.g. gas, electrical, asbestos).
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams.
- IT literate with experience in using job management and reporting systems.
- Full UK driving licence (essential).
