We are currently recruiting for a Fire Door Carpenter to join our team predominately covering the London, Kent & Oxfordshire area.
Responsibilities- Carry out a variety of carpentry tasks including the repair, replacement, and installation of fire door sets.
- Ensure all works comply with health and safety regulations and building codes.
- Maintain accurate records of work carried out, including reporting any further issues or required works to the Project Manager or Site Supervisor.
- Work to agreed deadlines and within budget, minimizing costs without compromising the quality of work.
- Liaise with clients, tenants, housing staff, and contractors as needed, ensuring all work is carried out professionally and with minimal disruption.
- Always adhere to health and safety practices, using the required personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensuring a safe working environment.
- Ensure that all tools and equipment are well-maintained and used correctly.
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Carpentry and Joinery, supported by a valid blue CSCS skilled worker card.
- Full UK driving license.
- Proven experience as a fire door carpenter.
- Ability to undertake a wide range of installation and maintenance tasks.
- Knowledge of relevant building regulations, manufacturers installation details and health and safety standards.
- Good communication skills, with the ability to work with a range of clients, colleagues, tenants, and external contractors.
