We are currently looking for a Gas Safe Plumber to join our team covering the Cannock area.

Role Overview

You will be expected to carry out high-quality plumbing and gas maintenance, repairs, servicing, and installations within occupied and void social housing properties. The role ensures the safety, comfort, and satisfaction of tenants while maintaining compliance with Gas Safe and Health & Safety regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out gas servicing, repairs, and breakdown diagnostics in domestic properties to a high standard.
  • Perform installation and maintenance of boilers, heating systems, and general plumbing works.
  • Ensure compliance with Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations and company policies.
  • Complete Landlord Gas Safety Records (CP12s) accurately and efficiently.
  • Diagnose and repair plumbing faults such as leaks, blockages, and defective fittings.
  • Work within occupied and void properties, maintaining professionalism and respect for tenants.
  • Provide excellent customer service, ensuring clear communication with residents and colleagues.
  • Use PDA or mobile devices to receive and complete job orders.
  • Ensure all materials, tools, and equipment are used safely and maintained appropriately.
  • Identify and report potential safeguarding, health, or safety risks within properties.
  • Participate in an out-of-hours rota for emergency callouts when required.
  • Adhere to all Health & Safety procedures, including risk assessments and safe systems of work.
You Will Need
  • Gas Safe Registration with current ACS qualifications – CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1 (minimum).
  • Proven experience working in social housing, domestic repairs, or maintenance environments.
  • Strong knowledge of gas and plumbing diagnostics and repairs.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Unvented Hot Water (G3) qualification.
  • Experience working with housing associations or local authorities.
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing & Heating (or equivalent).
  • Awareness of safeguarding, equality, and diversity in social housing.
