Role Overview: The successful candidate will be expected to carry out plumbing repairs, maintenance, and installation works in tenants' homes and void properties within a social housing environment. Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard, within deadlines, and in line with health and safety regulations, delivering excellent customer service throughout.
Responsibilities:
- Fault finding, diagnosing, and repairing leaks and blockages.
- Replacing taps, ball valves, pipework, traps, cisterns, and radiators.
- Installing or repairing sinks, baths, showers, toilets, and water heaters.
- Support planned maintenance programs, such as kitchen and bathroom refurbishments.
- Perform plumbing repairs and maintenance in occupied and vacant domestic properties.
- Carry out first and second fix plumbing on planned refurbishments.
- Conduct basic fault-finding and diagnostics.
- Ensure all plumbing work complies with water regulations and relevant standards.
- Accurately complete job tickets, time sheets, and compliance paperwork.
- Operate handheld devices for receiving and updating job information.
- Maintain van stock levels and keep tools and equipment in good working order.
- Deliver high levels of customer care and professionalism in tenants’ homes.
- Identify and report safeguarding concerns, property condition issues, or follow-on works as required.
- Comply with all health and safety legislation and company policies.
You Will Need:
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing or equivalent qualification.
- Demonstrable experience in domestic plumbing work.
- Understanding of health and safety in occupied homes.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ability to work independently and manage daily workload.
