We are currently recruiting for an Electrician to join our team located in the North West London area. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across residential properties, ensuring all work meets current safety standards and electrical regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, a customer-focused attitude, and the ability to work independently on a variety of electrical tasks within occupied and vacant properties.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine electrical repairs, installations, and upgrades in social housing properties.
  • Install and maintain electrical systems including lighting, sockets, distribution boards, heating systems, and fire alarms.
  • Respond to tenant-reported faults efficiently and with excellent customer service.
  • Work in void properties to prepare them for re-letting, ensuring full electrical compliance.
  • Always ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with other trades and contractors as part of a wider property maintenance team.
  • Maintain a professional and respectful demeanour while working in tenants’ homes.
You Will Need:
  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671).
  • City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/2395 (Inspection and Testing) – preferred.
  • Proven experience in domestic electrical work, ideally within social or residential housing.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Strong understanding of current electrical safety standards and building regulations.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Flexibility: potential on-call rota up to 8pm requirement for evening appointments.
