We are currently seeking a Roofing Labourer to join our team.
Role overview: To assist in the delivery of high‑quality roofing repairs, maintenance, and refurbishment services to properties. The role supports qualified roofers on‑site, ensuring work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards in line with tenant satisfaction and health and safety regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Assist roofers in carrying out roofing works, including flat and pitched roof.
- Carry tools, materials, and equipment to and from vehicles and work areas.
- Help set up and dismantle access equipment, ladders, and scaffolding.
- Clear roof debris and maintain clean and tidy workspaces.
- Remove old roofing material as directed, ensuring safe disposal.
- Mix and prepare materials like mortar, bitumen, adhesives, etc.
- Load and unload materials and equipment.
- Support site safety by following health and safety procedures at all times.
- Communicate respectfully with tenants and the public while working on‑site.
- Report any issues or defects to supervisors promptly.
- Work as part of a team to meet daily and weekly targets.
You Will Need:
- Experience in general construction or roofing labouring.
- Good awareness of health and safety procedures on construction sites.
- Physically fit and able to work at heights and in varying weather conditions.
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and take instruction from supervisors and tradespeople.
- Knowledge of roofing systems and materials.
- Driving licence.
