Job Description
We're a specialist evidence-synthesis consultancy currently preparing a proposal for a major UK government-funded programme of work focused on dementia. We're expanding our proposal team this week, ahead of a near-term submission deadline, and looking for an experienced health economist to join us at pace. This is a high-visibility, senior role on a nationally significant programme, with a very attractive daily rate on offer — open to discussion based on your experience.
\n
\n
The role — for the project, and if awarded:
\n
In the immediate term: reviewing and contributing to the proposed health-economics methodology as a named team member in the submission, ahead of the deadline. If the project succeeds: leading the health-economics workstream across a portfolio of real-world evaluation studies, oversight of a burden-of-disease meta-analysis, and a long-horizon counterfactual economic model.
\n
\n
What we're looking for:
\n
- \n
- 10+ years' experience in health economics, including cost-utility/cost-effectiveness modelling and economic evaluation of health interventions or technologies, at a senior/lead level.
- Experience with evidence synthesis, systematic review methodology, or burden-of-disease analysis.
- Able to review and engage with technical proposal content within days, and comfortable being named as the proposed lead in a live submission.
- Right to work in the UK, without restriction on the hours or type of work you can do for an external company.
- Available on a flexible/day-rate consulting basis; day rate for the proposal-support period and the wider programme to be agreed.
- Able to sign a confidentiality agreement before further detail is shared, given the sensitivity of a live submission.
