The Cardinal Wiseman Catholic School seeks a highly motivated and hardworking teacher of Spanish to join a strong, enthusiastic MFL department of close to 10 teachers. Candidates able to teach Spanish A Level are especially welcome, as are early career teachers (ECTs) who will benefit from our supportive training programme and a subject specialist mentor.

From 2023–2025 in Spanish GCSE, 28% of pupils achieved grades 9–7 and 86% achieved grades 9–4. Our MFL enrichment programme includes a Penpal Club, Latin club, a celebration of the European Day of Languages each year and more to come. We welcome applications from all candidates willing to support the Catholic ethos (Mission: “Omnia pro Christo – All things for Christ”).

Responsibilities
  • Teach Spanish across the primary curriculum (M1‑M3), support and deliver A Level Spanish where possible, contribute to MFL enrichment activities, maintain high GCSE attainment and promote a positive learning climate aligned with the school's Catholic ethos.
Qualifications
  • Teaching qualification, experience in teaching Spanish or the ability to gain qualification, willingness to support A Level teaching, and the capacity to work collaboratively within an MFL department.

Important: A successful candidate will be required to undergo Enhanced CRB Disclosure by the DBS. This role may be closed early if a suitable candidate is found.
