Under the direction of the SENCO and the SEND Inclusion Teacher, the SEND Provision Coordinator will lead the day-to-day operation of the SEND Support Base, ensuring that pupils with identified or emerging additional needs receive timely, targeted and appropriate support.
The postholder will act as the first point of contact within the provision, triaging need, identifying barriers to learning and determining the most appropriate support pathway. Through a trauma-informed and relational approach, they will support pupils to become regulated, ready to learn and successfully reintegrated into learning.
The SEND Provision Coordinator will triage pupils arising needs, oversee the deployment of support staff within the provision, coordinate SEND my support plans and aid the SENCO with statutory assessment processes.
