Are you passionate about Business and Economics and committed to inspiring students? Cardinal Vaughan Memorial School is seeking a Teacher of Business and Economics to join our community of dedicated educators from 1st January 2025 . We welcome both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers for this permanent role, offering the opportunity to teach a diverse range of abilities, including BTEC and A Level, within a school renowned for its strong academic outcomes and deeply rooted Catholic values.

Key Responsibilities

As a Teacher of Business and Economics, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons across KS4, BTEC and A Level Business and Economics, fostering a love for the subject and high standards of attainment
  • Contribute to curriculum development, shaping schemes of work and resources to ensure relevance and depth in line with national standards
  • Participate in departmental activities, including field trips and enrichment programmes, to support a well-rounded learning experience
  • Track and support pupil progress, providing feedback, and reporting to parents to ensure each student achieves their potential
  • Act as a Form Tutor, offering pastoral support, promoting positive behaviour, and instilling self-discipline

What We’re Looking For

Our ideal candidate:

  • Holds a good honours degree in Business and Economics or a related discipline, along with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Is committed to personal development
  • Brings excellent knowledge of the subject, curriculum requirements and exam specifications
  • Possesses strong organisational skills, a proactive approach to lesson planning and effective classroom management skills
