About this Role
Cardinal Newman Catholic School, Luton, is an 11‑19 comprehensive school with Specialist Science Status, serving the Roman Catholic community in Luton and Dunstable. The role is a 37‑hour per week position (38 weeks per year to include 3 training days), Monday – Thursday from 8am to 3:50pm and Friday 8am to 3:20pm, with a salary of £21,261 (actual annual salary).
As a Science Technician, you will provide essential technical support to our Science teaching staff. The ideal candidate will have a background in Science and/or relevant experience of working in a Science department, school laboratory or equivalent. This experience is an advantage, but not essential.
Applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers, prohibition order check and the Disclosing & Barring Service.
