About the role

The role will be to assist in the preparation and service of tasty and nutritious meals to students and staff under the direction of the Catering Manager. Duties will include basic food preparation, cleaning duties, and preparing counters whilst ensuring levels of hygiene are maintained within the kitchen.

Level 2 Food Safety qualification would be an advantage, or be willing to complete the qualification via an e-learning course provided. Whilst experience in a school environment or catering may be advantageous and till training is preferred, it is by no means essential as training can be given. We are more interested in finding the right person for the role, than the experience they bring to it.

The successful candidate will have:

  • The ability to use initiative
  • Be willing to undertake direction and guidance
  • Knowledge of child safeguarding procedures
  • Be willing to learn and have a can-do attitude working as part of a team
