We are seeking an experienced and driven Export Manager to develop and grow our CGL Wholesale Export Department. The successful applicant will be responsible for assisting the Head of Consolidation in the day-to-day running of the LCL Export department. Key responsibilities include:
- Support Head of Consolidation in consol planning
- Strong understanding of market rates and conditions
- Monitor sell rates and competition rates to ensure we are competitive in the market
- Regular meetings with Head of Consolidation to review performance and opportunities
- Manage your own time to best efficiency for the business
- Manage direct reports to ensure best return for the business
- Support BDMs and Account Managers when onboarding new clients and act as a final escalation point for operational issues
- Identify and deploy efficiencies/procedures within the department to assist with workflow
- Measure, monitor and review performance of the trades, ensuring budgets and forecasts are met
- Make sure company standards and procedures are followed
- Arrange regular meetings with your Team/Trade Managers, to review performance and opportunities
- Report any issues to the Head of Consolidation if they cannot be dealt with by yourself or the team
- Monitor queries for the accounts department ensuring all are completed in a timely manner
- Complete monthly financial checks including invoices, debit/credit estimates, job losses to ensure close of is accurate

- Monitor and review the service provided by overseas agents
Staff Management:
- Monitor performance of all direct reports
- Provide day-to-day training and development of all direct reports
Strategic Responsibilities:
