Job purpose: Accountable to the Team Leader for the day to day running of the bookings department, ensuring procedures are followed and customer satisfaction is maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage your own time to best efficiency for the business
  • Deal with customer and agent queries in a timely manner ensuring that those involved are kept updated at all times.
  • Communicate with shipping lines to arrange / amend bookings
  • Ensure bookings match what customer has booked and in a timely manner
  • Measure, monitor and review performance of your trades
  • Ensure procedures are followed at all times
  • Make sure company standards are followed, and the customer experience is a positive one
  • Ensure clients and overseas agents are kept up to date with shipment status, in particular any issues that may cause delays
  • Report any issues to the line manager if they cannot be dealt with by yourself or will take an extended amount of time to complete
  • Liaise and communicate effectively with the documentation department and work to serve clients successfully
  • Ensure all analysis codes are set for master files and individual consignments
