Job Purpose

The Operations Manager is responsible for the day‑to‑day leadership and performance of the operations team, ensuring exceptional customer service to support both retention and growth. The crucial link between Sales & Operations, the role is key in maximising profits whilst managing key supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the commercial team to deliver branch revenue and gross profit targets
  • Support the development and execution of branch growth strategy
  • Increase profitability across all service modes
  • Review pricing, margins, and customer profitability
  • Oversee daily branch operations
  • Ensure service delivery meets customer expectations and KPIs
  • Improve operational efficiency and productivity
  • Ensure SOP and compliance adherence
  • Financial processes, including month‑end preparation, DMR/CIMS workflows
  • Lead and develop branch personnel
  • Conduct regular performance reviews
  • Create a high‑performance and accountable culture
  • Support succession planning and staff development
  • Build strong relationships with strategic customers
  • Lead customer review meetings
  • Resolve escalated operational or commercial issues
