An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Cardiff West Community High ALN provision. In this role, you will work closely with the ALNCO and Literacy Specialist Teacher in order to ensure timely identification, delivery of group & individual interventions and tracking of learners who present with barriers to learning, with a particular focus on literacy and communication & interaction needs. You will also be required to support teaching staff with these learners, through appropriate resources and training.

You should be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills when working with learners who have emotional health and wellbeing needs. The successful candidate will be confident, adaptable, innovative and empathetic, with the ability to input, track and scrutinise data. Knowledge of ALNET and Person-Centred Practice would be advantageous, however training will be provided to the successful candidate.

Under the Education (Wales) Act 2014, all School Learning Support Workers must be registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC). This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check.
