An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Centre for Medical Education, providing professional academic support within our busy MSc programmes. This Lecturer role provides academic support for the MSc Genetic & Genomic Counselling, working closely with staff, students and stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide academic support for the MSc Genetic & Genomic Counselling programme, collaborating with staff, students, and stakeholders.
  • Deliver in-person teaching on a flexible basis, typically 7 hours per week, during intensive teaching blocks at Heath Park, alongside assessment, administrative tasks, supervisory duties, and personal tutoring throughout the year.
  • Work part‑time, with blended working arrangements where appropriate.

Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate degree at PhD level or equivalent experience in the delivery of high‑quality counselling services.
  • Demonstrated teaching track record and passion for student‑focused innovative counselling skills education.
  • Experience in delivering counselling services within a clinical or educational setting.
  • Open‑ended, part‑time role (7 hours per week) available immediately.

Benefits & Salary:

  • Salary: £41,064 – £46,049 per annum, pro rata (Grade 6).
  • 45 days annual leave pro‑rata (including bank holidays).
