A position is available for a fixed-term maternity cover position as Lecturer in Biomedical Science on the Teaching and Scholarship career pathway to join our dedicated team of academic staff in the School of Biosciences. The post holder will undertake a full teaching load, including the development, delivery and evaluation of modules/programmes in biosciences within the undergraduate and postgraduate provision within the school, supervise students and carry out administrative duties which may include student recruitment.
The successful candidate will have a PhD in a subject area or relevant industrial experience within the biomedical sciences area, teaching experience at undergraduate/postgraduate level within the biomedical sciences area and specialist knowledge within the academic subject area biomedical diseases, encompassing one or more of the following: cardiovascular, respiratory, other relevant human diseases, and physiological or genetic aspects of biomedical diseases.
This post is full-time (35 hours per week), fixed-term until 16th April 2027, to cover a period of maternity leave. Salary: £41,064 – £46,049 per annum (Grade 6). Appointments to roles at Cardiff University are usually made at bottom of scale unless in exceptional circumstances.
