Site Coordinator – Internal Applicants Only
Division of Psychological Medicine and Clinical Neurosciences, School of Medicine, College of Biomedical and Life Sciences, Cardiff University. Position based in the flagship Hadyn Ellis Building, Cathays Campus.
Overview
An exciting position has arisen as a Site Coordinator to support the delivery of the Mental Health Goals (MHG) Omics Psychosis programme within the Centre for Neuropsychiatric Genetics and Genomics at Cardiff University. Working closely with the Programme Manager and clinical teams, you will coordinate research activity across participating NHS and academic sites, ensuring high‑quality, efficient and compliant delivery of study procedures.
Responsibilities
- Oversee local implementation of biosampling protocols.
- Support staff training and maintain robust systems for participant recruitment, biosampling, and data collection.
- Build effective relationships with key stakeholders across Cardiff University, NHS organisations, and external collaborators.
- Provide clear guidance on site processes and troubleshoot operational issues as they arise.
- Ensure study procedures are executed in accordance with regulations and good clinical practice.
Qualifications
- Substantial experience of research or project coordination, ideally in mental health or health research.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, problem‑solving approach.
- Capacity to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast‑moving environment.
- Knowledge of clinical research regulations and data handling best practices (preferred).
