The University’s Catering, Conferencing & Events Team provides a range of services to students, staff and visitors, including hospitality, vending, bars, cafés, meeting rooms and banqueting, across the University campuses. This post primarily concerns assisting in the day‑to‑day preparation, delivery and provision of Event Catering services across University buildings, ensuring quality service, cost‑effective and efficient supervision of hospitality staff and deployment of physical and human resources across events.

We expect the role holder to take leadership of event service, providing a high standard of product information, customer service and ensuring the event team follows agreed standard operating procedures. The post holder will support the Delivered Hospitality Management Team in achieving cost‑effective deployment of physical and human resources across events. Experience in delivering large dinners, catering services for conferences and events, and hospitality to meeting rooms is required.

The post requires regular attendance outside normal working hours, including evenings and weekends, and the ability to manage time independently to support departmental goals. One full‑time position – 35 hours per week. Starting Salary: £25,249 per annum with two increment points up to £26,093 per annum (Grade 3). Campus‑based role.
