Cardiff University School of Social Sciences is seeking to recruit a Research Assistant to work within the Children's Social Care Research and Development Centre (CASCADE), a research centre located within the School. This role will contribute to research within the field of children’s social care and parental alcohol use.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting a rapid literature review
  • Preparing and analysing administrative data sets housed within the SAIL Databank
  • Performing administrative tasks

Employment type: part‑time, 60 % (21 hours per week); fixed‑term from 1 September 2026 to 31 July 2027.

Salary: £33,951 – £36,636 per annum, pro‑rata (Grade 5), with annual increments up to the top of the grade.

Reporting to: Professor Donald Forrester, CASCADE Centre Director.
