Job Description

We are looking for an individual with a passion for retail to join our Love Cardiff Team, supporting with the retail and Post Office operations. We are looking for someone that can start their induction as soon as possible.

The suitable candidate will be able to work Tuesdays and Thursdays between 10:30am – 5:15pm. You must have availability outside term times including but not limited to January, Easter, June and July for graduation and stock taking. There are other available hours between: Monday – Friday 10:30am – 5:15pm and an occasionally on weekends.

Retail and customer service experience is essential.

Post Office experience is highly desirable but not essential – full training will be provided.

Duties would include but are not limited to:

  • Daily operations of the Post Office following all official Post Office policies and procedures,
  • Cash handling, including opening and cashing up Love Cardiff and Post Office,
  • Replenishing clothing and merchandise,
  • Assisting with visual merchandising,
  • Processing online orders,
  • Helping to maintain online shop,
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy environment,
  • Dealing with customer enquiries over email and phone,
  • Assisting with key projects/ pop up stalls off site including but not limited to; Graduation merchandise stalls, Freshers’ etc.

Person Specification

  • Willing to learn the Post Office function – to include start and end of day procedure. This is a fundamental part of the role and all staff will be expected to carry out this duty once full training has been completed,
  • Team working essential with a good aptitude for using own initiative,
  • Prioritising tasks and managing time effectively,
  • Supporting promotions to help achieve targets,
  • Confident and responsible,
  • Previous experience in a customer facing retail role,
  • Prepared to have a lot of fun whilst reaching daily KPI’s,
  • Able to work Tuesdays and Thursdays,
  • Able to work graduation 2026,
  • Willing to participate in social media content for Love Cardiff\' social media.
  • Experience working in a busy, fast paced environment,
  • Ability to plan and prioritise tasks,
  • Ability to demonstrate use of initiative and leadership,
  • Social Media Marketing experience,
  • Available to work the occasional weekend.
