Using spatial data provided by the line manager and Co-Investigator of the project the successful candidate will:
- Map the spatial distribution of total hospitalised cardiovascular events at LSOA level in Wales (2021-2025)
- Map the spatial distribution of total hospitalised patients at LSOA level in Wales (2021-2025)
- Map the spatial distribution of deaths due to cardiovascular disease (CVD) as primary cause, at LSOA level in Wales (2021-2025).
- Map the spatial distribution of premature deaths due to cardiovascular disease (CVD) as primary cause, at LSOA level in Wales (2021-2025).
- Perform the possible spatial analysis based on the data provided e.g. hotspot, spatial correlation analysis, service areas, etc.
- Support any other GIS tasks as necessary
Person Specification
- Proficiency in ArcGIS Pro or QGIS.
Optional Skills
- Postgraduates are particularly welcome to apply as this role may suit the skills developed over your studies
- Proficiency in R.
- Interest on the topic of health inequality.
- Conversant with National Health System (NHS).
- Conversant with the geography of Wales.
