A local school in the Cathays area of Cardiff is looking for invigilators to cover the upcoming exam period.
Available Shifts
Attendance is imperative, as without enough invigilators, exams will have to be cancelled. Please only apply if you are certain you will be available for the full shift.
Please confirm which dates AND times you are available for in your application. Please be specific as we will use this to create the schedule.
Invigilators will need to ensure:
- examinations are conducted according to the JCQ regulations
- the wellbeing of the students in the examination room
- the safe and secure delivery of the exams
This work will involve:
- The general supervision of candidates to ensure no malpractice during the examination period
- Ensuring mobile phones, iPods, earphones etc. are handed in before the start of the examination
- Any other duties that may be required by the Senior Exams Invigilator during the period of the exam being supervised
Person Specification
- Mature and calm nature
- Experience working or volunteering with students
- Enhanced DBS Check
- Previous experience working or volunteering in a high school setting
Previous invigilation experience is preferred but not essential. Training videos will be provided prior to start date.

Note – This is an inner-city high school. There is very little parking available on the school site and none in the school overflow carpark.
