Cardiff Students’ Union is looking for a permanent, full time Chef. You will be part of a friendly team where we strive to support the hospitality aspects of the organisation. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate practical experience in the catering industry, be a team player and have the ability to deliver high quality and consistency, whilst working under pressure.
We have a diverse range of food and beverage outlets, comprising of a traditional pub which is open seven days a week and serves food daily, a Starbucks coffee shop and assorted food outlets.
The role offers an excellent working environment and work life balance. You will work 35 hours per week, no split shifts and have 34 days annual leave, plus bank holidays.
Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Assistant Head of Venues – Food, to be accountable for delivering food in a fast-paced environment whilst adhering to our Food & Safety PolicyYou will be part of the Food & Beverage team which forms part of the wider Venues Department.
Qualifications
NVQ/Diploma/Apprenticeship or equivalent in cookery.
Food safety certification level 2 Food Safety & Hygiene.

Interviews will take place in person, during the week commencing 25th August 2025, in the Students\’ Union building.
