Cardiff Sixth Form College is recruiting boarding staff to join their award winning pastoral care team. This is an exciting, new opportunity to join the UK's top academic school over the past 12 years and applications are invited from anyone wishing to contribute to a world class boarding structure and become an integral part of an outstanding team.
Responsibilities
- Look after the safety and welfare of students in the boarding house.
- Contribute to the wider framework of the College by participating in a range of trips, activities, career and academic opportunities.
- Live in and sleep on site throughout the week, except on weekends or evenings off, and take most of meals with students and other staff.
- Serve as a confidante and friend to students while ensuring professional behaviour and reflecting the responsibilities of staff.
- Attend appropriate training and induction covering Safeguarding, First Aid, Fire Training, Child Protection Training, Student Welfare & Counselling, and additional training as required.
