The Role
We are seeking an experienced Mobile Master Technician to support and maintain PSV fleets across London depots. This is a senior, hands-on technical role requiring strong diagnostic expertise, leadership-level knowledge, and the ability to work independently across multiple sites. You will be responsible for advanced fault finding, diagnostics, and complex repairs on modern bus systems, ensuring fleet reliability and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Advanced diagnostics and repairs on PSV / bus fleets
- Fault finding on 24V electrical systems, CAN-bus, ECUs, and multiplex wiring
- Use of diagnostic software such as Jaltest, IDS, and OEM tools
- Mechanical repairs on heavy-duty diesel engines
- Diagnostics and repairs on aftertreatment systems including SCR, DPF, and EGR
- Interpreting technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and fault code data
- Providing technical support and guidance to depot-based technicians
- Ensuring high standards of safety, compliance, and workmanship
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a PSV / Bus Technician, ideally at Master Technician or Lead Technician level
- Strong diagnostic and electrical fault-finding capability
- In-depth mechanical knowledge of heavy vehicle systems
- Experience working with modern emissions and aftertreatment technology
- Full UK driving licence
- HV Level 3 qualification or higher
- PCV licence desirable or willingness to obtain
Desirable Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Heavy Vehicle / PSV Maintenance & Repair
- IRTEC Technician Accreditation (or equivalent)
- PCV Licence (Category D)
- Manufacturer training (e.g. Cummins, Volvo, MAN, Scania)
