About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Fitter to join a busy and forward-thinking engineering operation in Horsham. This role plays a key part in maximising plant availability by ensuring planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive repairs, and continuous improvement activities are carried out efficiently and to the highest standards. If you thrive in a fast-paced operational environment and take pride in delivering high engineering, compliance, and health & safety standards we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high plant availability and efficient breakdown repair service
- Diagnose faults and implement effective repairs within minimal downtime
- Develop and carry out planned preventative maintenance programmes
- Identify recurring faults and implement long-term engineering solutions
- Perform minor maintenance operations on plant and equipment
- Liaise with external contractors for specialist repairs and servicing
- Ensure compliance with current Health & Safety and environmental legislation
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
About You
Essential:
- Previous experience in a maintenance engineering role within an industrial or production environment
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Commitment to high engineering and safety standards
Desirable:
