The position is a senior role for an experienced legal educator who will drive curriculum development, research, and teaching across undergraduate, postgraduate, and LL.B. programmes. The role entails fostering an inclusive, socially relevant approach to law, promoting equity, fairness and justice, and backing the strategic objectives of the university.
Responsibilities
- Plan, design and deliver undergraduate & postgraduate law and related courses, with a focus on equity, justice, and public policy.
- Support the development and continuous improvement of the law curriculum.
- Engage in scholarly research, publishing and presenting at national & international forums.
- Provide academic leadership for new research projects and programme enhancement.
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to the assessment of teaching quality.
- Collaborate with institutions, industry partners and external regulators.
- Ensure compliance with academic standards and accreditation requirements.

Qualifications & Experience
- Master's degree (LL.M./MA/MRes) or related qualification in Law, Comparative & Distributive Justice, or comparable.
- Deep knowledge of the legal profession and specialist field of comparative & distributive justice.
- Proven teaching/clinical experience, with evidence of excellence in training legal professional practice.
- Distinguished academic reputation and research.
- Excellent understanding of curriculum design, delivery, and quality assurance.
- Ability to plan, develop and deliver programmes at varied levels.
- Strong qualitative and quantitative research skills.
- Experience providing academic leadership and support, including earlyâcareer development and mentorship.
- Capacity to meet project management timelines and deliver within agreed milestones.
- Proficiency in using academic software and technology for teaching and research.
- Commitment to the university's professional and academic wellbeing, and cultural diversity initiatives.
Salary & Benefits
