Student Ambassador – Marketing & External Relations

We’re looking for enthusiastic Cyncoed campus students to join our Ambassador Team in Marketing & External Relations. Student Ambassadors will work at recruitment events such as Open Days, taster days and UCAS fairs for Cardiff Metropolitan University and will also support sessions in schools and colleges across South Wales to inspire students to further study at university.

Responsibilities

• Act as an active and flexible member of recruitment, events and widening access teams, both independently and with other students and staff.
• Lead prospective students and their parents on campus tours, providing information about buildings, ICT/learning facilities, the Students Union and sports facilities.
• Assist at Open Days, School Visit Days, interactive workshops, welcome week, Reaching Wider programmes and summer school.
• Maintain a thorough knowledge of the university and the services and facilities available to students.
• Attend staff development and training as appropriate for the event.
• Represent Cardiff Metropolitan University at higher education fairs around the UK.

Qualifications

Current Cardiff Metropolitan University student serving as a positive and responsible role model, with knowledge of employability opportunities and progression routes within secondary and higher education. You should bring enthusiasm, a friendly approach, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a commitment to providing an excellent student experience.
