As our External Events, Engagement & Conferencing Co-ordinator, you’ll play a key role in growing our portfolio of conferences, corporate events and external engagement activity.
You’ll coordinate every stage of the event journey, from initial enquiry through to successful delivery, helping us build lasting relationships and create exceptional experiences for our clients and stakeholders.
You’ll be part of a high-performing team supporting major events and helping drive commercial income and external engagement for the University.

- Coordinate conferences and events from enquiry to delivery
- Manage bookings, enquiries and client communications
- Support on-site event delivery and logistics, ensuring health and safety guidelines are followed.
- Contribute to income-generating conference activity
- Assist with marketing and promotion of services, working within Welsh Language Standards
- Gather and review customer feedback, using insights to continuously improve our services and customer experience.
As part of this role, you’ll spend at least two days a week working on campus, with days determined by operational requirements.
You’ll also be expected to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends.

With experience of planning, coordinating and delivering events and conferences, you’ll be confident managing multiple priorities while ensuring an outstanding experience for clients and stakeholders.
You’ll bring strong communication and relationship-building skills, a customer-focused approach, and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and external partners to deliver successful outcomes.
You’ll also be proactive and organised, with the creativity and initiative to help promote our services and identify new opportunities.
