We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic individual to contribute to the ambitions of the University’s Strategic Plan 2030 by managing the University’s Welsh language teaching function. This function aims to increase the Welsh language skills of staff and students and help ensure a workforce and student population that uses Welsh on a regular basis.

You’ll lead the way by:

  • Being responsible for the strategic planning and academic delivery of the University’s Welsh for Adults programmes for staff and students, ensuring high quality provision ranging from complete beginner programmes through to advanced programmes.
  • Producing and delivering specialised, high-level and intensive Welsh language programmes for academic and professional service staff that already have a good level of Welsh language skills to enable them to work through the medium of Welsh.
  • Producing and delivering high level Welsh language academic support and language improvements programmes for students that already have a good level of Welsh language skills.

With knowledge and experience of producing and delivering Welsh for adults programmes across many levels, you will bring your expertise in this field into a University that is committed to offering Welsh for Adults programmes to as many of its staff and students as possible. Your strategic vision, excellent interpersonal and organisational skills will allow you to manage the University’s Welsh For Adults function and grow this provision in line with the University’s strategic aims for Welsh medium provision and services.
