The Marketing and Strategy Department within the Cardiff School of Management is recruiting a Lecturer in Project Management. The role focuses on delivering the MSc Project Management, other postgraduate programmes, and contributing to curriculum development and research.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality taught content across the MSc Project Management, MBA, and other core curriculum areas.
- Support student‑centred pedagogy and contribute to programme management across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
- Enhance graduate outcomes and engage with internal and external partners at regional, national and international levels.
- Contribute to the department’s research profile and meet the quantitative and qualitative requirements for the next Research Excellence Framework.
- Assist in developing and expanding new curriculum areas such as simulation and optimisation, a degree apprenticeship, and digital/data analytics.
What we are looking for
- Excellent knowledge of project management or related subject matter.
- Strong understanding of pedagogy and the use of diverse assessment methods.
- Robust research and innovation profile with scholarly activity.
- Ability to design learning materials and support learning outcomes.
- Experience of HE teaching and provision of academic leadership and mentoring.
- Honours degree and Doctoral qualification; demonstrating capability to achieve Fellow Status of the Higher Education Academy within three years of employment.
