Our Brand and Content Team are now looking for a creative, innovative Brand Content Creator to help tell the story of Cardiff Met. This 12-month fixed-term role has been created to increase the team’s capacity during a period of portfolio growth, aligned with the University’s wider growth strategy. You will help us scale up the delivery of high-quality content across a varied programme of marketing and student recruitment activity. The Brand Content Creator will communicate and celebrate the values, opportunities and achievements of Cardiff Met to the wider world.
You will embed storytelling throughout content and support the development of a rich and varied content library that will raise brand awareness and drive engagement across targeted audiences by producing timely, creative, interesting, and desired content. You’ll play a key role in:
- Building the profile of Cardiff Metropolitan University’s key strengths in teaching and research.
- Driving awareness and consideration of Cardiff Met as the university of choice for prospective students.
- Augmenting and enhancing paid-for recruitment advertising and outreach campaigns.
- Supporting recruitment, conversion and enrolment of students.
- Creating, co-ordinating and gathering visual, written, and audio content, with an emphasis on video, photography, podcasts and blogs, ensuring alignment with the University’s brand guidelines and values.
- Supporting the Brand and Content Manager in building and managing an active community of Student Content Creators.
What you’ll bring: With experience of creating content for a variety of marketing and communications channels, you’ll be able to produce engaging content, transforming concepts into first-rate outputs to support marketing and recruitment activities. You will have experience of managing content for social media channels and evaluating the performance of campaigns. Your experience of working to, or developing creative briefs will help you to produce and commission content, including project managing delivery with external production partners, that aligns to the brand and meets set objectives. You will have experience of video production, with demonstrable skills in conducting interviews and editing video content.
You’ll be confident joining an established team, quickly understanding its priorities and ways of working, and making a meaningful impact by increasing capacity and helping to deliver an ambitious programme of work. Alongside your technical skills, you’ll have brilliant interpersonal and communication skills, allowing you to work collaboratively and build relationships with colleagues of all levels. Additionally, you’ll have:
- A deep knowledge and understanding of social media channels.
- Knowledge of SEO principles, digital marketing, and the constantly evolving social media landscape.
- Strong IT skills, across both productivity and creative suites, with the ability to learn and use new software packages.
