An exciting opportunity to oversee the strategic development of the Cardiff Virtual School for Looked After Children and the day-to-day management of the education of Cardiff’s Looked After Children. The role will focus on working with schools to raise the achievement and attainment of Looked After Children and ensure that their well-being needs are supported. Close working with Children’s Services and other agencies will be an essential part of the role.
Required for September 2026. The ability to build good, positive working relationships with a range of stakeholders will be essential. There will be line management responsibility for a small team and a requirement to further build the understanding of corporate parenting responsibility within the whole education directorate.
