Greenway and Trowbridge Primary Schools are situated in the East of Cardiff and are part of The Oaks Federation. We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced foundation learning practitioner with a deep understanding of foundation learning philosophy and pedagogy. The successful candidate will be classroom based and lead across the two schools

The ideal candidate will:

  • possess a solid understanding of child development, and the ability to demonstrate how they have effectively applied recent foundation learning guidance to lead positive changes in teaching and learning within and outside of the classroom
  • be a dynamic leader, who not only recognises and values the uniqueness of each child, but also has the vision and ability to lead a team in creating effective learning environments which help each child to thrive
  • inspire and guide colleagues to embrace innovative approaches to offer engaging experiences, ensuring all learners are supported as they work towards the four core purposes
  • model play and play-based learning, fostering an environment where learning is authentic and purposeful
  • provide coaching and support to their team, empowering them to continually evolve their practice while maintaining a focus on the needs of the child
  • be an exemplary classroom room practitioner who is able to share and support colleagues to develop provision and practice
