To be responsible for assessing the training and development needs of Adult Services employees, to implement training strategies, and track training progress and impact.

To work with the Adult Services Training Support Officer to commission external trainers, identify online learning platforms, resources, tools and implement holistic learning and development opportunities.

To design and deliver custom training programmes that meet the training and development needs of Adult Services teams.

Education & Training
  • Social Work Qualification
  • Registered with Social Care Wales
Experience / Knowledge
  • A proven track record of working positively with a range of partner organisations to achieve measurable and sustained success.
  • Evidence of success of providing a co-ordinated and integrated approach to the delivery of training across organisational boundaries (e.g. regional / UHB).
  • Experience of developing and presenting reports to a range of different audiences (internal & external) in a range of different formats.
  • Experience of reviewing, evaluating and planning services.
  • Experience in a Social Services training and development environment.
  • Knowledge of best practice in Social Work / Social Care and qualification framework.
  • Experience of designing and delivering training face to face and on-line.
Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, to a range of audiences.
  • Competent IT User.
  • Good understanding and knowledge of public sector policy and performance frameworks relating to services for children and adults in need of care and support.
  • Ability to successfully engage and collaborate with a range of internal and external agencies and stakeholders, including staff, external partner bodies, service users, and carers.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of the Social Services and Well-being Act.
