An exciting opportunity has become available for a qualified Social Worker to join the Fostering Service as an Assessment social worker. This role includes the completion of Connected Person Assessments and Special Guardianship assessments. About the job
The successful applicant must meet the requirements for a Grade 8 social worker in the Fostering service, as detailed in the Job Description and Person Specification. Responsibilities include undertaking connected person assessments in collaboration with the child\’s social worker, contributing to care planning, and offering recommendations on carer suitability and ability to meet the child\’s specific needs, especially under least intrusive legal orders. You will also propose support plans for carers to address vulnerabilities through support services.
Safeguarding and Child Protection are key priorities. The council is committed to ensuring the safety of children and vulnerable adults, adhering to safeguarding protocols across services and schools.
