We are looking for dedicated individuals with patience, empathy, and a caring nature to support children and young people in our residential homes. You must be willing to learn and share experiences while putting the needs of children and young people at the forefront of your role.
As a Residential Childcare Officer or Waking Night Officer, you will work shifts on a rota across children's homes in Cardiff. Your role involves providing direct care, ensuring children receive personalized support, building relationships, and supporting their development. You must be alert during waking night shifts, monitor the needs of young people, and effectively communicate with out-of-hours services. You'll partake in handovers and carry out tasks as needed, all while ensuring a nurturing environment.
