  • Assist with collating, maintaining and analysing of carbon data reporting using bespoke Council systems, and Microsoft Office applications in particular Microsoft Excel and also PowerBi

  • undertake basic research and analysis on carbon reporting data.

  • Work in partnership with a range of services and organisations.

  • Work as part of a team reporting encouraging the organisation to use carbon reporting to progress the One Planet Cardiff agenda.

  • create graphs and charts to reflect data analysis.

  • Undertake a range of administrative tasks to support the team software including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and our Sharepoint system..

  • Manage your time effectively.

To support your development, you will also undertake a Welsh Government Apprenticeship Framework Qualification in Digital Skills for Business at Level 3 in the role, and will receive on the job training and supervision to help you deliver an efficient and effective service in a positive and customer focussed manner. You will also be supported by a named mentor who will encourage you to develop a range of transferrable skills to support your career progression.

Many of our teams work online with a mix of home or hybrid (office) working. Where homeworking is required, you will be given the necessary equipment and training, however, you will need to arrange your own internet connectivity (support may be available to help with this).

The team works in a hybrid way with 1 or 2 days a week in the office. For the remainder of the working week team members can opt to work from home or the office base., Our customers depend on us to keep delivering services even in the most challenging of times. You will earn £23,152 a year working full time (37 hour a week), or £12 per hour pro rata, as we are a Voluntary Living Wage employer. The Living Wage is reviewed each year and Cardiff Council reserves the right to make changes to, or remove, the Living Wage Supplement., This post is temporary for 24 months if worked full time, or longer if worked part time. Most roles are based on a 37-hour week though many roles can be worked on a part time basis at a minimum of 16 hours per week for apprentice roles.
