About the Role

The New Homes Assistant role is pivotal in helping the housing and communities team meet their key accountabilities: sustainable tenancies (from pre-tenancy), building trusted relationships with tenants, early intervention and prevention, reducing customer need and demand, maximising income (voids and arrears), compliance with occupation contracts and ensuring tenants have the support they need.

You will work with the New Homes Team Lead, to allocate our homes in-line with our policies and support new tenants to ensure that their tenancy will be sustained. You will help Neighbourhood Managers by organising appointments for viewings and tenancy sign-ups, and our Voids team to arrange timely re-lets and ensure that all paperwork is completed and available ahead of a contract being signed.

About You

Focusing on working with the New Homes Team Lead to allocate and let our homes efficiently, in-line with CCHA policies and the common housing register. Risk assessing applicants to ensure that they receive the support they need to move into their new home without any problems, setting them up to sustain their tenancy.

To be a customer champion who provides excellent service for applicants on the Common Housing Register and CCHA customers by responding to housing enquiries in line with CCHA’s policies and procedures. Being the first point of contact when taking inbound and making outbound housing and communities calls relating to allocations and lettings. Provide cover and support when required to the wider housing team, by receiving housing related calls and covering the reception at Tolven.
