An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Cardiff City Women as a 1st Team Coach. As 1st Team Coach you will be responsible for assisting with the implementation of the manager's philosophy and strategy by preparing and developing the team and individual players to reach optimal performance.
Main Duties
- Plan, deliver, and evaluate training sessions and matchdays in line with the club’s coaching blueprint and game model.
- Design training sessions around the key aspects of technical, tactical, physical, and psychological.
- Ensure each session has key themes based on the team’s philosophy and/or strengths and weaknesses of the opposition.
- Design and deliver unit practices to the team which meet the manager’s philosophy and the players' individual needs.
- Contribute to individual, unit or team meetings based on the opposition or team’s performance.
- During game day, prepare the team in all aspects and analyse key moments in the game to assist the manager and players to help gain the best possible outcome.
- Support the recruitment process by assessing transfer targets and helping identify potential signings.
- Work in collaboration with all departments and communicate effectively to gain the best outcome for the individual and the team’s performance (including medical and performance analysis).
- Keep up to date with the latest trends in the modern game and continuously look to identify opportunities to improve operations and practices.
- Undertake other reasonable duties as requested by the 1st Team Manager.

Qualifications
- UEFA B Licence
- FAW Football Level 2
- Level 1/2 First aid (minimum); Working towards A or achieved UEFA A Licence
Experience
- Experience of working within a Women’s football environment
- Experience of working within an Academy environment
Knowledge
- Strong tactical knowledge and current football trends.
- Strong communication and delivery skills.
- Demonstrable competency in effective reviewing of coaching sessions and fixtures.
- Ability to deliver information to players and staff through a variety of means on and off the field.
