Job Purpose
We are pleased to offer the position of Academy Education Teacher (Maths) at our outstanding training facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering supported learning sessions to players engaged in the hybrid training model, as part of their compensatory education programme, every Tuesday from 08:30am to 4:30pm. In addition, the tutor will provide tailored support to older age-group players who require extra assistance on Tuesdays.
Job Context
We place a great emphasis on providing a well-rounded education both in terms of life and football. This role supports our academy players in balancing their education with the demands of a hybrid training model. This hybrid training model sees players at U12, U13, and U14 ages groups come out of school and engage with our teachers on site, whilst also receiving technical training; strength and conditioning coaching and performance analysis support in what is a high energy and engaging environment for young people. Through the delivery of tailored Maths sessions, the tutor helps players maintain academic progress and ensures they are supported both in their studies and future development.

- Previous experience working in a professional sports academy.

- Provide subject specific tuition to players.
- Update registers and logs of work as requested.
- Provide feedback to Academy staff on progress, attendance and attitude to learning as needed.
- Liaise with parents/schools as needed.

Person Specification
Qualifications
- BEd, BA, or BSc degree or equivalent or postgraduate degree in Education or relevant subject.
- QTS/QTLS teaching qualification.
- 2+ years teaching experience.
- EWC Registration.
Knowledge & Experience
- Teaching experience in secondary education or equivalent.
- Experience of delivering to young people with professional footballer aspirations.
- Knowledge of the ESTYN / OFSTED inspection framework including safeguarding and well-being provisions and thresholds.
